Case Study: Backyard Summer
Campaign Photography · Creative Direction
The Brief
A spec editorial built with a specific brand type in mind: contemporary women's fashion, sitting somewhere between PacSun and Fred Segal. Laid-back California with enough polish to belong in a campaign. Shoot a full afternoon that feels real, not produced. A girl in her backyard, in good light, doing nothing in particular and making it look like everything.
The Approach
We shot across two environments that together build a complete lifestyle world.
The backyard garden — bougainvillea in full bloom, checkered table, afternoon sun. Soft and warm with enough visual texture to anchor a full lookbook. The kind of image a fashion brand drops on a homepage and leaves there.
The bathroom vanity — tighter, more intimate, hair dryer and magazine energy. The getting-ready moment before the main event. Built for social, for stories, for the content a brand needs to feel like a person and not just a product.
Erin brought exactly what the concept needed. Playful without being performative. Feminine without being precious.
The Outcome
A complete spec asset library across two distinct moods, shot in a single afternoon. Ready to hand to a contemporary women's brand as a campaign foundation or social content suite.
